Film: Leveled (2020)

Leveled (2020) reflects on the 2020 Black Lives Matter uprisings in Atlanta, Georgia, in the wake of the killing of Rayshard Brooks, an unarmed Black man murdered in the parking lot of a Wendy’s. As a participant in the protests, the film traces the shifting landscapes of streets and public spaces, capturing the tension, grief, and power of collective action. Through this lens, Leveled meditates on how physical spaces transform under the weight of social reckoning and how moments of resistance ripple through society, demanding acknowledgment, change, and justice.
